george paul vinegar
My favorite part of capturing a story is learning the process behind it. George shared how they built their straw bale facility by hand and craft small batch vinegar using locally sourced fruit. Every step—from the science to the sustainability—is done with so much intention. The space is designed around light and temperature, which inspired how I photographed the bottles. It is a true family business, filled with care—and yes, the vinegar tasted just as good as it sounds. This project was for Ponder magazine, a regional lifestyle publication by Black Hills State University students, highlighting individuals who are deeply dedicated to an art, craft, or pursuit that makes them stand out in their field.
